Hey y’all,
Thank you so much for all the love you have showed me these past few weeks. It’s been so amazing and WAY more than I ever expected. My life is so crazy at the moment, we are currently in the middle of a move (for the fourth time in less than two years), we both work a lot but I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. They memories we are making are enough to last a lifetime! But if I’m being honest, it’s already 8:30 this morning and I’m still writing this blog. I’m twenty-three and still learning priorities and organization of my life. But hey, I managed to work out this week, cook dinner, make breakfast every morning for my husband (I’ve been doing this everyday since we got married), go shopping, and get my hair done! So I guess I’m not completely sucking in life. Today I’m going to be answering some questions people have been asking...
ON LIFE:
My Job: I’ve had some people ask what it is that I do. I am a personal assistant for our lead pastors at Road to Life Church NWI. AND I LOVE IT! If you go to our church then you know how amazing our pastors are, but if you don’t you’ll just have to take my word for it. They are great! My days are different and it’s what I enjoy the most. I’m the type of person who lives for the chaos of life! I’ve learned SO MUCH in my first year in full time ministry and I will share that at a later date. I have also grown immensely as person and a believer.
My favorite thing about being apart of a large church: This was actually really hard for me at first, because when I first moved here I came from a small southern church where everyone had known me my entire life. I mean the greeters probably changed me as a baby. At first I was really hesitant but that quickly changed when I walked through the doors. My parents had already been going for a few months before I moved to Indiana so my mom had already tried to make all my friends for me (talk about embarrassing) but she did a great job actually because I’m still friends with all of them.
How do I find time to connect with God in a busy life: I schedule it. I know that might sound crazy, but since I schedule my days I also schedule this. I personally like to start my day with my devotion, prayer time, and journaling. I currently have four devotions that i’m reading: The power of a Praying Wife and Jesus Always are the books I have. I also rotate two different devotions from the Bible App. The Bible app is great for everything! You can type in what you are struggling with, or even if you just need some motivation in life. I had someone ask how I pray and there isn’t a wrong answer. I just talk to God as if I was talking to my best friend, I laugh, cry and even sometimes have no idea what I’m saying but God does! If you have worries or fears start with that! Jesus knows your heart and what I’ve found is saying it out loud actually brings a lot of healing.
Why did I get married so young: It wasn’t the plan originally but after a few months into our relationship we both realized that we wanted to be married and didn’t want to wait a long time. I personally think Nick was just tired of having to drive me home every night..kidding lol, but we were definitely ready to be under the same roof, and just start our lives.
ON BLOG:
What’s coming up: sooooo much! I am so excited to share some upcoming collabs with you! I can’t give a lot away yet but if you love jewelry, clothes, body care and giveaways then you will love it!! Stay tuned to my Insta!!
Fashion: Like I said earlier I did manage to go shopping this week but with the much needed help from my girl Minette (@minnyvalentine). She picked out stuff I would have never even tried on but I LOVED it all. I will be sharing the details from the trip soon with pictures! Check out her Insta and her blog because shes awesome! She gave me tips on what statement pieces every woman should have and what not to wear with certain body types. Basically I need to get rid of all my clothes and get new ones. We laughed because I didn’t even have any of the basics. I will never go shopping again without her!
Thanks for stopping by!
